SMAD Family Member 6 (SMAD6) is one of the inhibitory Smads induced by transforming growth factor β-Smad signal transduction pathways in a negative-feedback mechanism. SMAD6 is involved in multiple tissue differentiation processes including neuronal differentiation, chondrocyte differentiation, cardiomyocyte differentiation and adipocyte differentiation. SMAD6 lentivirus (TET-inducible, Puro) expresses mouse SMAD6 under the control of the Tet responsive promoter, with puromycin as a selection marker.
