iPSC Generation

Overview

Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) have been used as a powerful tool in basic research to understand developmental and disease process, drug screening and discovery, as well as therapeutics for regeneration related diseases.

iPSC can be generated by introducing stem cell related transcriptional factors and miRNA into the somatic cells, including fibroblasts, peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor. FenicsBIO provides premade lentiviruses encoding the genes involved in iPSC generation, including the typical used reprogramming factors Oct4, Sox2, Klf4, c-Myc, Nanog and Lin28 packaged individually or as a bundle, and newly identified factors L-Myc, N-MYC, miR-302.

For monitoring the iPSC generation process, we offer pluripotency reporter lentiviruses with Oct4 promoter driven GFP (LV-1088) or RFP (LV-1089) expression.
