Overview

CRISPR/Cas9 technology has revolutionized gene editing in recent years.  This technique allows for gene knockout in a far easier way than anything available before. To facilitate your gene editing research work, FenicsBIO provides series of CRISPR/Cas9 products and service.

Product Selection

sgRNA expression vectors

sgRNA expression vectors are provided in lentiviral formats, with selection of puromycin or neomycin as a marker. After cloning your sgRNA into the vector, you can use the lentiviral plasmid to do transient transfection, or package lentiviral particles for transduce hard-to-transfect cells. We provide transfect reagents and lentivirus packaging systems for both applications.

 

Cas9 lentivirus

Cas9 protein expression level is critical for the CRISPR/Cas9 gene experiment. To ensure there is enough Cas9 protein expression, we suggest to select the promoter that works well in your cells to drive Cas9 expression. If you are not sure about which promoter works well for your cells, we suggest to use our Promoter selection plates to check which of the seven common used promoters (CMV, EF1a, CAG, UBC, PGK, SV40, MSCV) works well in your cells. After selecting the promoter, search our premade Cas9 lentiviruses with the promoter and selection maker you need. If you can’t find what you need, please contact us, we will try our best to make it for you.

 

Lentiviral sgRNA gene knockout kit

Designed according to the unique algorithms developed by FenicsBio’s bioinformatics team, each of our lentiviral sgRNA gene knockout kit contains a set of three sgRNAs and a pair of indel PCR screening primers. The three sgRNAs spread on optimized spaces on the same gene, leading to a large deletion and more efficient gene knockout. Screening with the provided Indel PCR primers, it is much easier to identify the cell clones with the deletion before sequence verification.
