Overview

FenicBIO’s Custom Cloning Service includes cDNA, shRNA, CRISPR-Cas9 construct generation and other cloning requirements tailored to your specific needs. With more than twenty years’ molecular cloning experience, our molecular biologist team can start from scratch or with the information and material you provide.

Our Custom Cloning Service Features:

  • Fast turnaround, most delivered in 1-2 weeks
  • Large collection of lentiviral cloning vectors to choose from
  • One-stop cloning service, can start from scratch

Deliverables/Lead Time

Deliverables: 3-5 ug miniprep plasmid DNA and bacterial glycerol stock. (Optional) Other amount of plasmid preparation with extra fee.

Lead Time: Typically 1-2 weeks, may vary according to the complexity of the project.

QC Testing

The Q/C testing for our custom cloning products includes:

  • Restriction digestion pattern verification
  • Sequence confirmation

Project Initiation

Phase I: Project requirement information collection

Our molecular biology team will work with you to figure out the details of your cloning requirement.  If you do not provide cloning vector, the information we need will include the promoter to use, selection marker and reporter requirements. Based on the information you provided, we can help you to choose from our Lentiviral cloning vectors or suggest some commercial vectors. For your cDNA insert, we will need the sequence or GenBank ID. For shRNA/sgRNA, please send us the sequence if you know the sequence that works well, otherwise please send us the sequence or GenBank ID of the target gene and we will design shRNA/sgRNA for you.

Phase II: Project plan approval

Based on the above information you provided, our project manager will formulate a project plan and send you a quotation. After approved the project plan, you can use the quotation to place an order.

Phase III: Starting material shipment

If you need to send us the cloning vector or DNA template, please send us at least 10 ug of the plasmid. The plasmid can be sent at room temperature in liquid form or spotted on filter paper.

If you have any questions or need more information, please Contact Us by email or phone, we will get back to you within 24 hours.
