Neuropilin-1 (NRP1) is a highly conserved type 1 transmembrane protein, plays important roles in the development of the nervous and cardiovascular system. NRP1 has recently been reported to significantly potentiate SARS-CoV-2 infectivity by binding to furin-cleaved SARS-CoV-2 Spike (S) protein. This lentivirus expresses NRP1 under the control of the CMV promoter with puromycin as a selection marker.
