Description
HEK293T/ACE2 cells are derived from the human immortalized embryonic kidney cell line HEK 293 by stably integration of a constitutive human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) expression construct. ACE2 is a receptor on the surface of cells that plays a crucial role in the entry of the SARS-CoV-2 virus into cells and causing COVID-19 infection. HEK293T/ACE2 cells stably express ACE2, can be used for studying various aspects of viral infection and developing potential therapeutic interventions such as testing antiviral compounds or vaccines.

Overview

Human Angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) is the entry point for COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) due to its interaction with the coronavirus Spike protein. To accelerate your COVID-19 research, we provide premade HEK293T/ACE2 stable cell line.  HEK293T/ACE2 stable cell line is generated by transducing HEK293T cells with our premade ACE2 lentivirus (CMV, Puro). Combined with SARS-CoV-2 spike protein pseudotyped GFP, RFP, firefly luciferase or GFP-Firefly luciferase lentiviruses, it provides a model for studying COVID-19 entry of cells and screening of drugs to block COVID-19 entry.
