C4-2/Cre cells are derived from the human prostate cancer C4-2 cell line by stably integration of a constitutive Cre recombinase stably expression construct. The C4-2 cell line is notable for its ability to metastasize to lymph nodes and bone, making it a valuable model for studying advanced prostate cancer and metastasis. C4-2/Cre cells stably express a nuclear localized Cre recombinase.
