22Rv1/STAT3 Reporter (Luc) cells are derived from the human prostate cancer 22Rv1 cell line by stably integration of a STAT3 firefly luciferase reporter construct. 22Rv1 is a human prostate carcinoma epithelial cell line derived from a xenograft that was serially propagated in mice after castration-induced regression and relapse of the parental, androgen-dependent CWR22 xenograft. The cell line stably expresses prostate specific antigen (PSA). 22Rv1 cell line has been widely used in cancer research and drug development. 22Rv1/STAT3 Reporter (Luc) cells stably express firefly luciferase under the control of the STAT3 response elements, can be used for monitoring the activity of STAT3 signaling pathway.
